Can I go back? Can i go back to when my friends still cared about each other, and wanted to do anything to help one another? To when my roommate helped me get through anything, by just being there? To when I held someone i really cared about in my arms?

Just because things aren't the way they used to be doesn't mean they can't be good. Things are always going to change, unfortunately, and our memories will always be there. Sometimes they make us feel like this, missing the past, but they can make you stronger too.

Everything that happens to us teaches us a little more about the world we live in. So, even if it's painful, it always has a purpose. That doesn't make it hurt any less, but it does give you a reason to keep going and keep learning. The good times will come around again.
