Stealing home

I used to like a baseball movie called Stealing Home. It starred Mark Harmon and Jodie Foster. I don't think I ever saw a player actual steal home plate. UNTIL TONIGHT!!!  Aaron Hill of the Blue Jays actually performed the feat against the Yankees, helping the Jays to a 3-2 victory. Much to the delight of

The Jays can stay in second place for the entire season. My motto is "Go Jays! (within reason)"

I do hate the Yankees. As a team, not individually, because I don't hate anyone individually. I actually like Derek Jeter. Class act, that one.

I do not love everything Canadian. *coughStephenHarpercough*. Also, wtf is with the terrible economy in the Maritimes? Someone needs to do something about this, darnitall. The Maritimes are why I love Canada in the first place (I also love Ireland, and could rant all day about all the things I don't love about Ireland).

Oh yeah I forgot about Stephen.
And I like Jeter too (although there has been a debate on the local radio station about whether Derek is overrated as a shortstop. When asked about that the Blue Jays Manager said "He could play for my team".
Now A-Rod is another matter. He recently pulled a classless act in Toronto as he was rounding the bases and yelled out "I got it" which resulted in our substitute 3rd baseman dropping the ball. No one could believe it as this is just never done in baseball.
I hope the Bosox give it to A-Rod tonight as I think you begin a series with the Yanks.
And yes the Maritimes are the best thing about Canada. Me and duree really need to go there together. Maybe we will bump into Jimmy Rankin!!

I heard about that. I believe it because he's famous for doing things like that, he's done them with the Sox, too.

Maybe he is, but we'll take him. Besides, he's got integrity, or something.

Tell me how you did that. Maybe I can forget about Dubya the same way.

Go in October. He'll probably be at Celtic Colours. At least I would think he'd be there. I won't, unfortunately. *sigh*

Oh, and I'm also not fond of the Cape Breton Tar ponds. I'm funny, not liking great big disgusting pools of toxic waste like that. ;)

Nat King Cole once sang a song about Dubya and it was called "Unforgettable"...

...and the Tar ponds are a tragedy (which is another song by the Bee Gees).

We actually can't afford such a trip at the moment but one fine day...
