The Update Monorail

Oct 27, 2008 20:36

damn, i totally need a monocle before saturday now...

I totally want to go to that restaurant (but only to buy drinks, looking at that menu)

Oh, and though the pic of you as a carrot was wonderful, that survey is painfully long. I'm going to guess that the survey creator was high on love and flowers when he wrote it.

It makes me wish I had a monocle as well; sadly, monocles have fallen out of favor with popular culture, and I doubt there are any places where I can have one crafted in under an hour. I suppose we could all compensate for our lack of haughty eye wear with luxurious linens... we might fool the masses, but we wouldn't fool ourselves.

I think the main appeal of that restaurant is visual, or at least atmospheric. It's like an ultra-trendy coffee shop with Japanese school-girls instead of emo baristas.

I certainly agree that the Co-op survey is painfully long... my guess is that the thick haze of patchouli and lush jungles of untrimmed body hair clouded the creator's judgment.

there seems to be much more socialization for the Casey this past week, especially with Halloween.

my favorite by far is Crepe House Uni, which features Japanese style crepes served in a portable cone shape by Japanese schoolgirls in French Maid outfits amidst a futuristic, fluorescent colored, ultra-modern interior.
Sounds awesome....except for the heavily mayonnaise covered food

I'm generally a fan of socialization, as I would otherwise be under-stimulated and isolated. Fortunately, most of these socialization have been oodles of fun.

I imagine you could get all of the crepes without mayonnaise upon request; my guess is that it's their interpretation of catering to the American palette.
