Don't Squeeze The Shaman

It's been far too long since my last journal entry, and for that I should be chastised. Then again, most punishments would only encourage future on-line delinquencies. If I had access to Livejournal at work, I doubt my access would had been so prolonged; however, the former computers moved to my future campus office far before anything else. Sadly ( Read more... )

I'm pleased your world has been rocked... and without the need for tectonic catastrophes or coin-operated motel beds.

You're finally going to get your money (or some money, at least?) That's unexpected and encouraging!

The Natalie Portman video is awesome (and she has cute hair!) Tangentially, my affection for Natalie was upped a notch today when I read a gossip item stating that she had turned down a role as a nun because she "doesn't understand celibacy." A woman after my own heart.

The link to the Coulton cover of "Baby Got Back" reminds me that I was supposed to show you his zombie song.

Fortunately, I had received about half of the restitution money, as she was ordered by the court to make monthly restitution payments as part of her probation. However, a few years ago, that probation period ended, and without any threat of criminal prosecution, I thought she had stopped paying. Although the judgment had been converted from a criminal case to a civil case, without the information necessary to garnish her wages or issue a bank levy, I thought I was never to receive the rest of the money unless she decided to develop a conscience and voluntarily pay me the remainder owed to me. I'm guessing that she did in fact stop paying for awhile, but was probably ordered to start paying again to get her driving privileges reinstated or perhaps from another criminal matter. Anyway, as I basically abandoned all hope that I would see the rest of that money, any amount will be welcomed ( ... )

Under solitary circumstances, I would consider the amount of time played during the first weekend of the release obscene
pfft... it wasn't that obscene. I mean, we only called in to work a total of 3 times between the two of us. I mean, it was likely only about 40 hours of gaming across four days...

I'll enjoy my Tofurky and linger in a mental state somewhere between indifference and whimsical disassociation.
Cody would approve.

If I had a nerd-chic icon like J had, I would use it for this entry, but alas, such an epic icon for me does not yet exist
Ok, we've been putting it off for long enough... this icon must e constructed this weekend.

Epic Excuses elucidar November 30 2008, 06:16:04 UTC
Upon reflection, I do agree that our time spent in Northrend was not obscene at all. In fact, I'd call it industrious. Now if only I could convince my employer to compensate me for these industrious adventures.

Well, if Cody would approve, then it must be fundamentally sacred and immune to negative criticism.

Woo-hoo... I eagerly await my nerc-chic icon with totemic anticipation.

Does Tofurky provide the same anesthetizing effects as the tryptofan in real turkey? If not, I say we get someone on this right away! There is absolutely no reason that vegetarians should be forced to endure holidays without the same kind of chemically induced narco-haze as meat eaters.

Sadly, I don't believe Tofurky does provide that sense of overindulgent euphoria lovingly brought to meat eaters through tryptophan. Although overeating in general does bring about a similar sense of comatose, it's really not the same.

I say they should start injecting Tofurky today... why not surpass the narco-haze with some heroin or peyote -- one might find all sorts of undiscovered things for which he/she is thankful.
