Squares, Discs, Circles, And Spheres

It's time for some more random updatery, and for those naysayers that question the legitimacy of the word updatery, I posit that it's a perfectly cromulent word that embiggens even the most grandiose of semantic passages. Then again, I did have a painfully early day today and may be suffering from some sort of insomniac dementia; however, the ( Read more... )

way more engaging that conventional golf without the need for a financial investment of clubs or the haughty condescension of a country club membership.
I've always found that to be the most appealing part of engaging in golf and golf related activities.

You make an intriguing point, but just think of the quality and quantity of entertainment per dollar spent. I'm sure you'd agree that such money may be more efficiently allocated elsewhere... perhaps either in Azeroth or in AFK-Land.

Oh, my MSF class is the weekend around April 2nd, although I now just realized I have to find a way to get there. In the immortal words of Homer: D'oh!

Yay... you're so helpful.

I should shower you with Salpica and advocacy. Well, not literally of course unless you pull out the tarp.

Good luck at your MSF class, Cas :)

okay, so the "disco golf" thing horribly confuses me...won't shiny swirly light be overly distracting and lead to a lot of "gold-related-injures"?
heheheh, golf club to the head. Good times, good times.

Thanks... from what I hear, the class is fairly simple, although egregiously early for a Saturday morning. As long as I pass the class and don't end up strewn about the asphalt, I'll consider it a grand success.

Disco golf would be awesome; way better than disc golf. It's time to pull out the polyester and the heavy gold chains.

I feel like a total slacker, I totally thought I had replied to this post already.

Is the MSF class still separated into a classroom half-day and an on-bike day? Cause with just a little pre-riding with J or Ian, you'll paste that classroom session into the ground. I found it incredibly easy to follow the discussion on controls after having tried it once myself, instead of trying to learn from the book.

Any idea what kind of bike you want? I'm guessing probably not a dual-sport due to the top-heavy aspect, but I could easily see you on either a sportbike or a standard/cruiser. Or maybe a scooter. Definitely not a touring bike though.

No need to apologize for feeling like a slacker, with your work schedule, wedding planning, and interstate travel, I'm amazed you have the time or energy for anything else.

I assume that's how the class is set up still, though it didn't really say in the e-mail I received. I assume that even the one lesson I had from Ian last summer will be helpful... it's always nice to have some applied experience along with the theoretical, regardless of the subject.

I haven't done much research as to what kind of bike I would want, although I assume it would be something similar to the one that J has. Although I think 150cc is technically highway legal, if I ever wanted to go highway speeds, I imagine I would want a 250cc. I suppose now would be the time to look into it...

You've got the cc's down right, and you'd be hard pressed to find any street motorcycles under 250 cc's anyhow (dirt bikes and scooters are another matter).
