cactus update

I haven't written anything in a very long time, and due to time restraints I am just popping out of radio silence just to put up a quick picture of the cactus. As you can see it's growing quite well (it's actually a bit larger now, given that the photo is from Tuesday). I need to figure out how to shift all the soil an inch to the center without

maybe consider putting the whole thing in one large shallow dish or pot....though it will probably still try to escape.

That's actually a very good idea. I just need to actually go find one of those, and unfortunately might have trouble overcoming inertia.

Doesn't seem to. I've had a couple fruit flies but I think those came from the little palm thing I have.
