I'm so irritated. Rebecca wants to come live with us so badly and her PoS mother says it's ok, but she won't give custody to James because she loves the child support (that she's not spending on Becca because she's always asking US for money and saying she has to pay her cell phone bill and crap like that), yet Becca's here like 90% of the time

Huh? I always thought that child support is paid to the parent who has the child living with them? Over here, CS is meant to help with things like clothes, food, education etc. Custody or not, how can the mother receive CS payments when she isnt actually financially supporting the child?

Surely if she came to live with you, the mother would have to pay?

Well, child support goes to the parent with custody, which in this case is the mother. The only way for us to stop the child support payments from going to her is to take her to court and we don't have the money to do that, besides, the court system here favors the mother no matter what. There are plenty of instances of child abuse / neglect where the mother got custody over the father just because it's the mother and the child is accustomed to that lifestyle. It's ridiculous
