Doctor Who: New Earth
I loved this episode! There was just so much to laugh at and enjoy and just squee over!
My personal highlights include:
- The Doctor's reaction to the Kiss.
- The Doctor as Cassandra.
- Billie as Cassandra complaining being a chav.
- The oh-so-subtle subtle swearing.
- Leaving from the Bad Wolf playground at the beginning.
- Mention of the first date.
- Wet!Doctor.
- The Doctor in the lift enjoying the shower.
- The Doctor showing a range emotion, and hugging the girl and calling her sweetheart.
- The Doctor being 'foxy' ;)
- The Doctor's blatant look at Rose's cleavage!
I really enjoyed this, it just showed me that this series will be just as good as the last if not better. I thought both David Tennant and Billie Piper were really good, especially with managing to act another character. It was really well done. Thought Billie was completely convincing as Cassandra, very impressive.
Thought that some of the CGI spaceships were somewhat obviously fake, but otherwise, I enjoyed it.
I felt something of Nine reappeared when The Doctor was saying about humans adapting. Reminded me of "Everyone lives!" in The Doctor Dances.
And I loved the moment at the beginning when Rose was saying how she loved travelling with him. I thought that there was so much subtext there, and I really liked it.
ETA: I loved Rose's reference to Gollum!
