Doctor Who: Gridlock

To quote a character, this episode was 'Magnificent'.

That last scene was just heartbreaking, you really have to feel for the Doctor, he's tearing up and why did they pan up?! I want to know more. Was nearly tearing up...

- I loved seeing all the different people in their cars, different species, married old ladies, it's just amazing.
- Ardal O'Hanlon as a cat is amazing.
- Brannigan saying that the Doctor is 'a bit magnificent'
- Kittens! Kitty saying 'Mama!'
- I really love the fact that he speaks about Gallifrey and describes it.
- The Doctor with a bandana over his mouth.
- Getting a bit sick of the recycled lines to reference the past series, like the recycled New New York, it was funnier the first time.
- Yay, Novice Haim and Face of Boe! Her eyes are amazing.
- Yay, Martha for sticking up for herself and calling the Doctor on his behaviour.
- I loved the whole thing about the coat being from Janis Joplin.
- Really adored the British bowler-hatted businessman. I can't work out what he's been in.
- The hymns were really haunting, I thought.
- The nudists!
- The Macra were a bit weird.

I liked the fact that the Doctor realises he shouldn't have lied to Martha and the fact that he does actually like her. Martha finally had her 'Oh God, who is the Doctor?' moment that Rose had in The End of the World. I know that all companions are going to act a similar way at the start but it gets a bit old... Thought the Doctor was a bit of a git when he said to Martha that it didn't mean her about him not being alone.

I'm sad the Face of Boe has died. When Martha came round and he wasn't in his case, I was a bit shocked. I knew what the message was going to be but it still made me shiver. Partly the Doctor's reaction, partly the way Boe said it.

8/10, my favourite so far.
