SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Ahem. Anyway, that Squee was solicited by the preview, onto my thoughts of the episode. Overall, I liked it, I was kept on edge, the baddie freaked me out a bit, though there were bits I disliked. All elaborated on behind the cut.

Seriously though, what happened? It was basically a plot device for Martha's family and they could have done that in five minutes when she arrived in her flat. The story was boring and completely illogical - especially the ending - and the only thing that would have interested me more would be if the Doctor had taken Tish instead of Martha - who, let's face it, after five minutes of being cool was back in whine mode again.

As for Martha, I like her. Not as much as Rose, but I do like her. I can even accept her liking the Doctor since I understand why she does. It seems pretty clear that he won't like her back so I can deal. It would have been better for her character if they hadn't made it this crush thing as it mars her and limits her. I'm hoping she gets over it soon, but we'll see.
It's possible that I'm just a geek and get distracted by shiny special effects and old school references. XD
