Doctor Who: Utopia
OH MY GOD! OH MY FREAKING GOD! I'm completely spazzing out. SO much so I forgot to wait to see the next week trailer...
This is EVERYTHING Doctor Who should be! The combination of Old-School and New-School was fantastic, it threw in twists I wasn't expecting, it had me totally on the edge of my seat. I have no idea where to even start, that episode was just so good.
Firstly, Derek Jacobi as the Master? Awesome.
Regeneration? Awesome and somewhat old-school style, I thought.
Reusing of the watch? Fantastic!
Old School References: A quarry, yays!
Initial Reunion with Jack? First, I was disappointed but then that whole bit about Rose being on the list of the dead and the celebratory hug.
Very amused by the Doctor telling Jack off when he says hello to anyone!
Interesting to hear how Jack escaped - also interesting to see how the Doctor deliberately left him behind... I had expected more angst, to be honest but I guess more might come. It came off well, anyway, I liked the fact flirty Jack stepped in and the Doctor being cheeky.
Yay for Rose flashbacks! Sorry Martha, you can't beat what she did. And you're bright, get over him. How about Jack? He'll have anyone!
Those creatures all seemed like extras out of Lordi. XD Some sort of rock band anyway, in their new rocks and tattoos and piercings...
And now for more: OH MY GOD! No TARDIS, Martha knows who he is, stuck with evil creatures on a planet with NO HOPE of escape (except the Doctor's large brain). I don't see how they're getting out of this one and it makes it all the more exciting! And it's looking to be a three parter now so I'm really excited. I feel all shaky and anticipatory and I don't know how or where to even begin.
Why does he have the Doctor's hand?!
