Doctor Who: The Poison Sky

This episode was excellent, I really enjoyed it. The references to past episodes, keeping me on the edge of my seat, I loved it!

THANK YOU DONNA'S MUM! I'm so glad someone had the common sense to break the window. But why does she have an axe?

The whole Donna/Doctor key exchange was quite lovely.

I was on the edge of my seat the whole time worrying about Donna. I loved how the Doctor tried to communicate with her during the whole thing and she was shouting: 'Who should I ring?'

Unexpected!Rose! Why is she screaming 'Doctor'?!

I'm so glad that the Doctor realised that clone!Martha wasn't the real Martha, I was so certain that he'd be oblivious.

"Are you my Mummy?" Hee!

I loved the reference to the Brigadier and that he is in Peru somewhere. Nice to know he's still around at least.

Yay for the Valiant!

I thought the scene between Martha and her clone was really touching, as if the clone didn't realise she wasn't entirely the real Martha.

"There's two of them!"

I liked the Doctor's farewell to them both, and for a moment had myself believing they were going to make him regenerate.

I'm also quite glad that Luke redeemed himself. It felt a bit off that the Doctor or no one else said anything about it but having rewatched the clip, he did look like he was in shock a bit.

"I feel like I'm wearing my Dad's clothes."
"Well, if you're calling him your Dad, you're definitely getting over him."

*********

Regarding Rose looking somewhat different:

brookeormian: i get weirded out by the fact that she looks like she's really overdone the fake tan
Me: I thought her hair looked a lot blonder
brookeormian: Maybe the inter-dimensional gateway has really bad contrast/brightness balance?

Rating: 8/10

I'm a little worried about next week's though. It has the potential to be really bad.

squee, doctorwho
