Up-coming SCA event costumes...

Ok...so, like I said in my earlier post today...I spent a bit of yesterday trying out different combinations of some of the garb I've got here in WY with me...I took ALOT of pics., so if you're at all interested...here they are for ya'.:D

I don't like my legs, yet, and am a bit self-conscious about them -but I greatly appreciate the compliment!:) I love the "ranger" look, too...but I also enjoy my skirts. That's why I figured I'd do one for each day.:)

Yeah...I can't totally decide on the black or white top for the "ranger" look...if I can find a lighter colored bra, I'll probably go with the white...otherwise, the black it is.

You have some really cool items! I love that 'ranger' cloak.

You look really great in the outfit with the black blouse, leggings, arm warmers and bodice. Very flattering. That's my fave.

Thank you!! I'm really happy with the garb items I've got, but I still want MORE!! I love having so many options of color and style to choose from.:)
As soon as I reach my goal-weight, I plan on getting one or two new bodices, too.:D
The "ranger" cloak does rock...I need to get a full-length one at some point, they are SOO warm!

I like that black top 'ranger' outfit, too. I can't decide between it and the white blouse. Decisions, decisions... ;D

I really love the green vest you're wearing and the fact that the green goes with all those outfits is a huge plus. I like the ranger one the best, but the others are a close second.

Green vest? You mean the golden bodice? I'm not sure why it's photographing with a green tinge to it, but it's a dark gold. Or are you referring to the 1/2 cloak?
-The bodice is two-sided, the other side is purple...but I figure that at an SCA event I'd probably catch some flak for wearing purple...the color of royalty. So, I'll stick with the gold side instead.:)
I like the rangers, too...but I also enjoy some wenchi-ness.;D

Yes, the same bodice you're wearing in your current icon here. It looks forest green. It's called an under-bust, right? Is is comfortable? It looks like it woud pinch in delicate places under the bust area.

Ah, no -it's a dark gold color.
I suppose it's an under-bust, when it was originally made for me I was a bit smaller, so at one point in time it did actually cover my brests...but not right now. It's actually quite comfortable, aside from being tight, of course. And it doesn't pinch me anywhere. I've worn this with and without a bra and my breasts have always been comfy.:)
-I suppose some under-bust bodices might pinch, but not this one.:)

I prefer the red chemise outfits in general, though i prefer the white shirt under the half-cloak thingie.

They are very comfy and WARM!! ;D Hell, I've still got another couple of inches to go around my ankles...these suckers are long!

Yeah, I like the red chemise blouse, too. I just bought it at the CO Faire, so why not wear it? And I like the white top with the ranger outfit, too.
-As I was saying above to Lorac...if I can't find a good light-toned bra to wear under the white blouse, I'll probably end up wearing the black blouse instead.
Unfortunately (and not gloating here), I'm too big-chested to be wandering around in a bodice/chemise without a bra. It's not all that flattering to my shape, either...in my opinion. I don't like the black of the bra showing through from under the white chemise.

Thanks! I'm very into Ren Faires. I haven't done any SCA stuff, I'd love to at some point though. I'm really into D&D so it seems like a natural progression. Haha. I'm a pretty eclectic person over all.

Being eclectic is awesome! I'm quite eclectic, too. My interests jump all over the place...from Ren. Faires to comic books, UFO's/Supernatural to ancient history, urban graffiti art to classical pre-raphealite(sp?), zombies, and on... Lots of different interests.:)

I tried doing D&D with some friends and my ex some years ago, but I could just never really get into it. I think I was just too shy, honestly. But, while I haven't really done anything with the SCA, yet...I'm enjoying it.:)
-You should google for any SCA groups in your town/city or nearby. You'd probably enjoy it.:)
