Thank you! I used to watch her videos all the time, I think she's even a member of my makeup comm...or at least, she used to be. I stopped checking in on her LJ after a while 'cause she wasn't posting all that regularly.
But I'll refer back to her for inspiration once I start playing around.

I haven't been able to face it since my Mom died. Since it will be almost 2 years maybe I should shake out of that funk and honor her

It's all about taking your time and doing what you feel when you feel you are ready. *hugs* Don't push yourself if you aren't ready, yet.

If my mom and I can get along long enough, I'm thinking of offering to help her do a ritual for Samhain in honor of her recently passed husband.
