You know, when you forget to push down the clutch in a standard car, go to shift gears and *grind/burn*
I know that the first complaint I get from my WMA peeps on a run-through is "you're telegraphing and not targeting correctly" I do a face/palm and re-adjust.
Lol..ok. Just hadn't ever heard anyone use the phrase "burns the clutch" before.
I seem to be targeting ok, but just telegraphing too much. I'll have to start pulling that in quite a bit. It'll take some practice. I feel like everything I ever learned from my stage-combat is just throwing me backward when it comes to actual sparring. It's a little annoying. On the up-side, at least my learned standing-stance is helping me with my balance.:D
Well, I 'guess' it's a good crew...I'm still trying to decide that with various of the members. But so far so good. -I don't take criticism well, I'm finding. I really need to learn to leave my pride in my folding chair as I'm putting on my armor for the fighting field. -I guess I expect to get on the field and pick it all back up again and do great and when that doesn't happen...eh, it sucks. But I know I just need to be patient and learn from my mistakes.
Lol, yeah...I keep trying to hit sword rather than person..also a habit to break! ;D
on top of that, one of the guys in the group also has a bo-staff and wants to do some choreographed staff-fighting for next year's local Ren-Faire....wants to put on some SCA demos and have the staff-fight as one of them. Ironically, our group doesn't do 'any' bo-staff fighting...lol! But, I don't care...whatever it takes to learn some more bo-staff techniques/moves.:D

Thanks for the good-luck wish. Hopefully I'll pick stuff up rather quickly and learn to improve on what I do learn.:)
