OH, gosh. Poor Martin, and poor Douglas, and definitely poor Arthur stuck in the middle and desperately trying to get them to make up. And of course Arthur is right; politeness from Douglas is almost certainly not a sign of liking! But I guess Martin is way too close to it all to be able to see that objectively.(Although I'm not sure we ever hear Carolyn being terribly successful at true politeness to the customers *grin*). I wasn't going to read this till it was done, as I'm not a huge fan of WIPs, but tonight I couldn't resist any longer, and it's *so good*. Can't wait for more...
