It came to the surface by itself and they believe it was because it was sick.

Most bizarre thing I've ever seen... it's the gills that are wild.

When I first saw this, it was being compared to the first "baby giant squid" discovered last December close to the surface near Japan. Same idea as this shark... sick, came to the surface by itself, captured... yadda yadda.

Kinda cruel, but I suppose they were so close to dead when they were captured. If you want to see this giant squid, search "japan giant squid" in youtube. **I** didn't find it that impressive or giant, but apparently it was a massive discovery.
