anyway, i didn't know apple-chan still updates her stories. i thought she retired already. honestly speaking, my close friend's elder sister is good friends with apple-chan (along with enerirenie and syaoran-no-hime, if you know them..the three are legendary SK writers a few years back) and as far as I know, the three do not write fics for SK anymore--even for Naruto which is their new fandom. So this news really surprised me.

But yeah, it's a sad one. :(
Promenade --and the rest of her fics-- are really good. To think that she still thought of updating the story is a miracle, but saying that she wouldn't continue anymore and that she will not break the law of canon is very disheartening.

But I guess we have to start another era in SK fandom, what do you think? I, being the great RenPiri rabid fangirl that I am, am willing to BREAK THE LAW OF CANON for my OTP's sake. If those authors aren't willing to make a fanfic for us, why not we make

19?! WOW! Only one year older than me! Gosh. That's so cool!!! :D It was really a shock. A double shock, if one might add. It's like she announced she was back into writing fics, but rebutted with abandoning a very good -and years old- SHAMAN KING fic. I guess she would never write anything RenPiri or HoroTam or LysergJeanne ever. But possibilities of YohAnna could still happen. Might. I hope.The fun thing about Promenade is that, the three writers (but I'm not so sure about SNH) challenged each other to write a fic about the SK gang in prom. So they all had their versions. All were original and simply beautiful. Ah, those were the days! (and OMG! You have to tell her that! Make her see how much she's influenced you and maybe she would have second thoughts in continuing the story

ugh yeah I know, I saw that she wasn't updating Promenade when I went back to reread it. How disappointing! She was definitely one of my biggest influences, writing-wise and OTP-wise

eh I don't know though, writing around the canon (which is what I do sometimes) isn't necessarily breaking it. at least, in my opinion.

And for some reason, I just can't STAND RenJeanne I mean.....ew......they just bother me together they're so.....WRONG for each other.

I tried to check Apple-chans profile again and saw that she made a RenJeanne fic. I'm beginning to get irritated. I mean, why does she have to stick to what Takei made? I don't see the point. The reason why we make FAN FICTIONS is because they are FICTION = not real stories written by the FANS = not the creator. Why bother sticking to the canon?

I agree to what you said about writing around the canon. I can't really find the words to justify it right now, but I agree.

I don't like them together either. I don't see any dynamics between them as characters... (maybe I've read too many RenPirika fics? :P) They're just ...wrong. I don't care about the fact that they didn't have much interaction before, because, let's face it, nor RenPiri had, but I just think they wouldn't make a good and interesting couple. Oh well...
