Notes: And with this we're back to OTP makeouts! It doesn't really agree with my headcanon, but I couldn't resist.
He had managed to convince himself this wouldn't happen, but it does.
For the second time in two days, Riza sneaks in his bed at night, still clad in her hospital gawn, her hair loose and her voice soft. It's dark for her as well, past hospital bed time and past midnight. He can't see her, but it's her, her hands slipping under his nightshirt and her lips sure on his. His hand traces the scar tissue on her back and his nose bumps on the bandages around her neck (two entirely different kinds of scars).
She is smiling against his mouth, and he feels the same, how this is something wonderfully familiar and wholly new.
