I'm going to tell you anyways. It isn't your fault. Period. End of story. It's a series of unfortunate events to be sure but it isn't your fault that this mess has happened. Please don't blame yourself. Because if you spend the next couple of months in a funk I'll kill you. Seriously. ;)

Please don't blame yourself. You did what needed to be done. I'm going to visit the loan sharks this weekend and we'll make everything work.
