Sorry for the random comment - but thanks for saying this. I'm constantly the butt of jokes because I have big boobs, and people tell me to not be ashamed, but to flaunt them.
Well, if they want big boobs, then they can have them! I don't!
yes, I have grown to be proud of my figure (and you should, too!) but making a derogatory comment about someone's body? really? since when is that ok? Next time you can tell them that their jokes are the reason you feel ashamed.
I went through many years thinking that if I didn't have big boobs, I would lose my identity because that seemed to be all people noticed about me... we need to stand up for ourselves!
I'm not so proud of it yet. I hope I'll get there in time, but it would really help if people stop commenting on it all the time. Then I'd be able to stop thinking of it as something as wrong, you know?
Mm, we do. I dunno, I always felt that if I was offered a chance to get rid of them, I'd do it in a heartbeat - mainly cause people would stop pointing them out if I did. ^^;
It's the same when people tease women for being naturally skinny. My ladyfriend K. has a hormone imbalance, which keeps her weight low though she's about 5'9", and she's been teased her entire life because of it. But, once again nobody thinks she could ever have a problem with it, because we all want to be slim, right?
In the brief moment in time where I weighed 113 lbs, I found that a lot of people weren't shy about resenting me for it. Everyday, every little comment we make can effect someone in the long term. It's just not worth it.
