I didn't write this, Oswald Chambers did, but even still maybe this is God's way of calling out to you? Jesus said "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:" (John 10:27) Could you be hearing His voice but not quite recognize it? I didn't either at first. The Lord first spoke to me through a woman I loved (screamed at me is more like it) and then again with a book. His voice may come through another person, or through someone's writing but if you are one of His sheep (and He knows if you've ever been, or ever will become one) you will know His voice, but you may not recognize it at first.
