If you care not where your feet fall in the woods then you are going to fall. I've spent enough time in the woods to know that the ground in front of you is just as important as the sky above you. Have yet to see a lamppost out there though. And it was always the manmade path on the ground that got me back out of the woods too.
Of course you are gonna fall, everybody falls. Faith is all about trusting something other than your own eyes on your own two feet to hold you up and guide you. How many times have you fallen even while you were looking directly at them? Also, there are plenty of manmade paths through these woods, billions of them, but they all end at a gravestone. No mere man has ever found a path out of these woods. There is a lighted path through these woods though. I can tell you that as truth with every fiber of my being. Countless people have followed it, countless more people look up and start following it everyday. Does it lead out of these woods? I don't know, I'm still on it, but I'm gonna keep my eyes on it and stop worrying about myself and whether I'll trip and fall.
I'm not really disagreeing with your meaning so much as the analogy that you are using which went from bad to worse with the second post. If you want to imagine that walking through the woods is like that for comparison then I guess you can imagine "these woods" to be whatever you want but it isn't realistic.
