YAY! we're getting our kitchen re-done! THAT'S AWESOME! the end product will be amazing and lovely and i'll believe this 2 very short months will all be worth it. i am NOT COMPLAINING AT ALL.
But.... just to tell the story as it goes....
Coming home to a Construction Zone was surreal. and i have no small issue regarding living in a construction zone, thanks to my not-so-handy parents. The window breaking in the storm isn't helping... i'm SURE there is broken glass everywhere.
The kitties are sequestered during the day. POOR KITTIES!
the constant banging is... well... at least i know there is progress. ;-)
Today, the first of the appliances was delivered. the delivery truck knocked down the Cable Wire. nothing is OFF yet, but i could reach up and yoink it down. feh.
Oh, fun... i have to out out the front door and in the back door to do laundry. LOL. no laundry while it's raining, i'm afraid. :-)
The part i'm truly dreading is it's sinking in (no pun intended) that i don't have a kitchen sink. Dishes will have to be done in a bathroom vanity sink. w/o the sink, prepping for grilling is hard at best. so eating out... microwave dinners... sandwiches. I'm so glad I like sandwiches. ;-)
Allie is taking it so well, but she's just excited to be back at school and seeing her friends today. she's sad the hammock is out of comission for a few months.
I'm so glad she's home.
