Hm, I've been reading your stuff for a while but haven't left a comment. I usually need to work up a courage, if the author is more ...refined perhaps ( ... )

I'm glad you've been reading! I understand about working up the courage to comment, especially on the things that one appreciates most (I'll probably spend the better part of an hour composing a response I hope will be what a thoughtful comment deserves - those are the ones I treasure most).

As for this one... the first part just kind of came out *kicks Kisaki* and I could NOT abandon Asagi at the end of it. I had an idea of where I wanted to go, but wasn't sure of the specifics, and I certainly didn't want to gloss over the aftermath or get it terribly, terribly wrong... so I did some research. I really loved Dr. Mayama as I was writing her, and I'll definitely second your wish for more people like her in reality.

I will continue with this, and hopefully it will become more enjoyable as it goes - there's a loving couple to get together and a new band to form, after all!
