Sometimes when little things happen, you have to pause and take a moment to let them sink in.
Life gets busy.
The days scream past at an alarming rate.
New little things can be worthy of feeling like a big deal.
They can stop you in your tracks if you let them.
We get so settled in what we do and who we do it with and how we feel when we do it.
That we can forget.
We can deny.
Become numb.
It shouldn't be so difficult to come back to center.
But it is.
It's the things you never saw coming that bring you back.
We laugh.
We remember.
We reconnect.
We reinvent.
Four years is a long time of that cycle going round.
I still marvel at it.
We find new little things that force us to rediscover.
They sneak up, but I hold on when I catch them.
I'm grateful for them.
I give them their deserving big deal moment.
I love that there are still new little things.
