The more I learn of idiom-rich but neologistically resistant Mando, the more I think, like, this language is not as expressive or precise as English. i speak 7 languages, and the one with the most shades-of-grey is definitely arabic.

i'm a french teacher, and man, french vocabulary is dull.

oops; the seven i speak are german, english, french, spanish, italian, japanese & arabic.

I've heard Arabic is wonderfully subtle and descriptive!

I, sadly, am a monoglot - the result of growing up in a small town in Canada. I can get by in French, know a few random words of Danish and Greenlandic (which I pronounce hilariously poorly), but that's my limit. Very sad.
