Yeah, apparently they are. They're certainly interesting, but if it takes a couple of hours just to get your shoes on correctly, then you're doing it wrong.
But then, fashion certainly isn't known for its convential nature and ease of use.
If I were a fashion designer (which I most certainly am not), I would have just gotten rid of the ankle bracelets with beads, and maybe just moved the beads somewhere near the ankles themselves.
But that's just me, sorry Louis Vuitton - I know you're a ridiculously sought after fashion designer with millions of dollars and acclaim, but I must dare to have an opinion, on the internet no less.

I read an article recently (in Allure, god help me) that said the majority of human hair used in extensions is obtained through Hindu religious pilgrims to this one shrine. They go, get shaved, and the temple sells the hair to pay for various expenses.
My friend from New York just told me a story about having a pet turtle when he was a kid; it became too much trouble so his dad took him to the Bronx Zoo and contrived to "tie his shoe" right in front of some turtle-appropriate enclosure and released it. That's the first time a damn turtle ever pulled my heartstrings; when I was looking at those boxes of shells I didn't even blink. So props to you, Miss Soft Spot 2009! Blow some kisses.

That second pair of shoes makes me think of iron lungs. Ralph Lauren Polio, perhaps?
