I'm excited. Also nervous. From what I understand, the pain will be quite formidable, and I will be very swollen and unhappy for a good couple of weeks. By then, the swelling will subside and some scarring will be left over, but the surgeon is giving me RX scar cream to help diminish those. My thoughts will be with you on surgery day! I'd love to find a way for insurance to pay for me to have it done. *hugs you*

Have you gone to a consultation with your PCP and a local surgeon you like? A lot of insurance companies WILL deem it medically necessary after WLS and allow you to have surgery on arms and abdomen.

It's awesome that your insurance is going to pay for the surgery, that's definitely a real bonus!

Im out in CA nearly every month, but up in Santa Barbara. The farthest south Ive been so far is Anaheim, but one of these days we may take a road trip farther. Id like to see more of the state :)
