My boy made a sudden trip back to our hometown and I am here languishing in a furry pool of downloaded Big Love and babysat kittens. Instead of watching the Godfather(s) -which I have never seen- with my Brunshood Pseudo-brothers (his friends which are now mine through socialising in his absence) I am trying to perhaps think and write and paint. I have gotten to a point were I've been an active internet communitarian for long enough that I have sentimental feelings toward real people who, as I've never met them, are as good as characters.

Oh, same. Sometimes I catch myself imagining conversations that haven't happened. it's difficult to remind myself that the people I interact with here are real people after all.

upon consideration - it's also difficult to remind myself that, despite mutual respect and affection, I will probably never have a tangible relationship with or even speak to a lot of these people. my chief problem with the internet is the lack of boundaries (knowing more about someone than is manifestly healthy) combined with the biggest boundary of all (we will never sit down on a lawn and have a conversation)

I have been thinking about this for most of the morning, in case you could not tell.

I too lack boundaries- I am an open book. I have actually spent the time since your last comment backtracking through my journal and reading my 'open book' oh the things i tell the internet. *slaps head*
but you never know about the lawn conversation; a handful of my internet people have become real life friends or...real life something anyway. It's a funny world.

You do tell the internet a great many number of things, and I can assure you that the internet is listening - if for no other reason than because of how well you write the those things, and the powerful insight you have on everyday life.
Seeing the world through your eyes is as inspiring an escape as travelling to a different country, tasting a new food for the first time, or taking a day off work to visit an art gallery.
I wish you all the best of good fortune for your business endeavours, and I look forward to reading about them and learning yet more about the world through your words.
