OOC: Relationships & Timeline
Edward Elric: As a friend from long before the days of Discedo, Hughes feels the need to protect Ed. He tries to be supportive and help through the most difficult of things - but at the same time, he does love to tease him.
Alphonse Elric: Much like with Ed, Hughes wants to protect and be a friend to Al. When he left to face Walter, Hughes was left conflicted with what to do, and in turn, feels a tremendous amount of guilt for being trapped in Latimir and not helping.
Winry Rockbell: He hasn’t spoken to her much since arriving, but he still feels the same way about her. He adores her nearly as much as his own daughter, and even views Winry as being sort of a surrogate sister to his precious Elysia.
Roy Mustang: Roy and Maes have been friends for years, so Roy's arrival in Discedo was a big deal for Hughes. He's somewhat uneasy about it, considering that where Mustang is from, he's dead. But overall, he's happy to see his best friend and excited to see Roy begin to take things under his wing.
Ashelin Praxis: Maes enjoys talking to Ashelin, or rather, he enjoys showing off pictures to her. They often work together with police work, and he is eternally grateful to her for getting back his pictures of Elysia.
Professor Layton: Though he doesn't know much about Layton, Hughes does enjoy talking to him, especially in regards to investigations and things of the like.
Yuffie Kisaragi: Hughes really doesn't like Yuffie. After she stole his wallet and attacked him, he has little trust for her, and thinks that she shouldn't be allowed to roam the streets freely.
Iroh: He doesn’t know much about Iroh, but he has a great deal of respect for him, just based on the way he helped Hughes when putting together information about law enforcement in Discedo.
Samus Aran: Much like Iroh, Hughes has a lot of respect for Samus, and finds her to be very helpful. She constantly points him in the right direction for information that he needs to complete his tasks.
August 3rd, 2008: Maes Hughes arrives in Discedo.
August 13th, 2008: Hughes takes residence in Latimir apartment 403. He also begins to try and from an investigations team.
August 15th, 2008: Hughes, along with the other residents of the Latimir Apartments become locked in. He does his best to organize the crowds and keep everything calm, while investigating the building.
August 18th, 2008: With Latimir back to normal, Hughes gets ambitious to work and get some information out of Discedo.
August 22nd, 2008: Maes meets up with Yuffie to show her pictures of Elysia. After a drawn out battle, she runs away, stealing his wallet and pictures in the process.
August 30th, 2008: Hughes takes a trip to talk to a jailed Azula about her rampage.
September 3rd, 2008: After over a week, Ashelin gets back the pictures of Elysia from Yuffie, and gets them back in Hughes' possession.
September 11th, 2008: Unable to tell the truth, Hughes says some unreasonable things about his family.
September 12th, 2008: Much to his surprise, Hughes' best friend, Roy Mustang, arrives in Disecdo
September 13th, 2008: Maes offers Roy a place to live. At the same time, he is also trying to figure out why some of Discedo's residents are brought back without memories, while others retain them
