"So that was when you started to learn all about the Thief Arts?" Yugi asked.

"Yes, that is when I learned my skills to survive. As a boy in the village I picked up on things very quickly, and despite father's warnings I learned what the other kids knew. So I took naturally to thievery even though my family had been honest folk." Akefia shrugged a bit. "I just thought of it as a way to survive. It no longer mattered if I hurt other people. In my eyes everyone was to blame for what happened to my village. No one was an innocent to me anymore."

"You know, you don't need to be stuck in your ways anymore. It's not like you're fighting to survive. Things...have changed since then. Drastically."

"Yeah... Things have changed but.. Mmph. I've changed too you know. I'm not constantly trying to kill Atem. Or harm other people. The stealing thing... Well it's habit. I enjoy it. No one is physically harmed by it." Akefia shivered and wriggled against Yugi's side, trying to steal his heat.
