Lelouch, as promised, headed straight for his room after messaging Shirley, carrying the bag of groceries with his left arm. This was certainly not good... Shirley being on board he could handle, but sharing a room with her?! It would be far too obvious that he were trying to avoid her...
"Damn it all!" He pounded his free fist against the wall in frustration. Was he really just meant to repeat the same things over and over?! First the meeting with Light and talk of another rebellion and now Shirley... NO. He wouldn't allow it to happen. This time he'd make sure to keep her safe, to keep her from getting tangled up in his mess.
He looked up, "oh..." Looks like the 'wall' he had just pounded was his door. Shirley probably got a fright from that...
Shirley had been in the middle of changing her top when she heard the loud pound on the door. She yelped when she heard the lou noise but realized it was the door. Could that be Lulu...? Would he pound on the door like that...? Or maybe it was somebody to get her because she knew Lulu's other identity...?
Well she could at least defend herself, right...? She grabbed a hand mirror that had been sitting on her dresser and slowly headed towards the door to their cabin room. If it wasn't Lulu, she'd just hit whoever on the head and run away! Perfect plan!
Lelouch heard Shirley yelp from inside and sighed, how could he lost his composure like that? He took opened the door carefully and slowly entered, lest Shirley think him to be an assailant of sorts.
"Shirley?" He peered around the cabin. He hadn't scared her THAT much, had he?
Shirley heard the door open. Who could it be? Who was it...?! Was it Lulu?! Was it someone who wanted to hurt her?! She gripped the mirror tighter and hid herself behind a small wall. When she saw the shadow of someone she jumped out from behind her little post and ATTACKED.
"Kyaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!" She hit them over the head, cracking the mirror. Wait... "L-LULU!?!!!!"
Lelouch had no time to react and felt a sharp pain on the back of his head before yelling and face planting into the floor, groceries spilling everywhere.
He groaned as he robbed his throbbing head, "hope I don't get a concussion..." he made a mental note to NEVER anger or scare Shirley. He was lucky to even be conscious, and thank goodness he wasn't bleeding.
"I-I'm Sorry, Lulu! I'M SORRY I'M SORRY I'M SORRY I'MSORRYI'MSORRYI'MSORRYI'MSORRY!!!!!!" She apologized, tears welling up in her eyes. She didn't mean to hurt Lulu like that! It was an accident, right?! Right?! "Are you okay?!"
Despite the throbbing pain, Lelouch managed a forced chuckle, "I'll be fine. Besides, you were only scared because I accidently hit the door, right?" He looked up at Shirley and smiled, hoping to calm her.
He stood up slowly, "I'm okay, really. How about we put away the groceries and then we can get going upstairs?" Lelouch moved about slowly, since he didn't want to get dizzy, but thankfully it seemed the feeling was slowly fading away.
"Yeah..." Shirley pouted. She didn't mean to hit him! It just... happened! She didn't want to hurt him! "I was just afraid that you were someone else..." She needed to find an excuse! Something to prove that she didn't mean to hurt him!
"Okay...! She picked up some of the groceries that had fallen on the floor and took them into the kitchen.
"I know, Shirley. I already told you, I'm fine so please stop worrying," Lelouch didn't like how Shirley was still feeling guilty. He silently berated himself, the whole thing had been his fault and this was not the way he had wanted to start things off.
When they had finished picking up the groceries, Lelouch made sure that he had his card key before checking if Shirley was ready to go. He offered a slight smile again, hoping to show that all was fine and forgiven, "Shall we get going, then?"
Oh, she would worry. She would worry and feel the GUILT until probably the next morning or whenever Lulu decided to DITCH HER, since he did that a lot. But for now, she would smile. She was going out with Lulu and she was going to be alone with him. Could it even be considered a date...?
What was she thinking?! She shouldn't be thinking about this kind of stuff now! She had to think of important things! Things like... like... Well, she couldn't necessarily think of them right now, but they were very important! Her little inner monologue was interrupted when Lulu had spoken to her, and she looked up at him, cheeks red. "Right! Of course!" Was this going to be awkward? maybe? And oh god, she was going to LIVE with him now...! This was all so strange!
Despite the overwhelming worry she had, she smiled and grabbed a small bag, putting her cardkey and PDA in it. "Let's go~"
Lelouch decided it would be best to first show Shirley where to buy groceries, even though he'd probably take it upon himself to make sure their cupboards were stocked. The supermarket was pretty close to the elevator, anyhow. After that, he used a small guide to give Shirley a quick idea of where all the other shops, restaurants and other establishments were and how to find them easily.
After the brief description, he decided it would be okay to accompany her around to some of the shops that piqued her interest. He figured he owed her that much after what he had caused earlier. Offering her the list of shops and places he asked, "Anything in particular you want to go see?"
Shirley paid attention to everything Lelouch told her, taking it all it. It was a lot of information and a lot of of it, she wouldn't remember, but at least she had an idea of how things worked here! She looked over the list of stores and shops and noticed a cute name of a certain store.
A clothing store. Of course. Lelouch smiled, "I don't see why not." He reached for Shirley's hand to lead her to the store. He had never been inside the store, but from what he remembered seeing in the window display, Lelouch was certain Shirley would enjoy the fashions they had to offer.
"Here we are." Now peering inside the store, Lelouch realized that Shirley would probably try to get him to join her in trying on different outfits.
