all the failures of today can only be blamed on my own laziness, complacency, and lack of self-will. and it doesn't help that instead of using this as a fuel to improve, i go into a binge of indulgence that feels so good until i realize that what seemed like a comforting den is really just a deep hole i've dug for myself.

Eh, it was an alright book, I suppose, but the movie kind of sucked.
