Since I'm feeling a bit healthier, I've been getting stuck into the unpacking that didn't get done when we moved in here. We moved on the first of December, so we were more concerned at the time with just unpacking the essentials and getting the rest of the boxes and bags shoved into cupboards out of the way so they didn't interfere with Christmas ( Read more... )

I'm in complete support of this. We were playing Christmas cds at work just a couple weeks ago and the two year olds are always singing Jingle Bells. And I keep a running Christmas list of ideas for gifts for everyone all year long. Christmas stuff should start now. It takes that long to get everything ready anyway.

God, I know! I've always said I don't know how Americans cope with Thanksgiving interfering with the Christmas festivities. It's bad enough with Hallowe'en sticking its oar in.

Well, they moved the big Black Friday/day after Thanksgiving shopping day to Thanksgiving Thursday night so another couple years and there won't even be a Thanksgiving. It will all just be Christmas shopping.

As it should be. I don't think any other holidays should be allowed within three months either side of Christmas. Now if they'd just stop trying to shoehorn religious crap into it...

So glad to hear you are doing well, I've missed you!

Is it ever too soon to start doing Christmassy things? I start listening to Christmas music and doing Christmas shopping in July. It annoys the crap out of everyone around me.
