I can't lie, I half-expected you to end the story with something along the lines of 'we were trying to get into the wrong house.'

No, even we aren't quite that stupid! Although I did once get something delivered to the wrong address, by forgetting my house number a few months after we'd moved in. Eve was a little baby then though, so I'm blaming that on baby brain loss.

Yeah, you can't be held responsible for anything a few months after giving birth. I tried to get into car that looked just like mine a few months after I had Kaitie and started kicking it when I couldn't get the door open. My mom ended up dragging me over to the right car when she came out of the store. The whole thing still has this hazy quality to it that makes me wonder if it was a dream or some shit, but my mother still swears to this day that it actually happened, so.

I think I'm too far gone to flip out over any of that stuff anymore; I'm so cynical, I always expect the worst, so it's never really a surprise. I'm convinced the only reason I survived cancer is because the universe is having way too much fun toying with me!

I'm fighting a losing battle on staying positive, but for some reason I can't even figure out I gotta try damnit! Lol.

I feel you on the universe toying with you, it's taken a liking to tormenting me as well.
