my Dragon Con experience

I attended my first Dragon Con on Sunday. I’ve heard about DC for many years, and I figured it was a crime to actually live in Atlanta now and not attend. And with GDL this close, how could I not?

I first attended the Hour with Kryten panel on Brittrack. Robert Llewellyn was a dream. Very funny, very charming, and very self-effacing. He had the ( Read more... )

Yep, shorts! I didn't see them when he came in, so when he left, I think I did a tiny little happy dance. I'm so glad he wore them. I wish I'd had sense enough to do the same!

I can expand on Red Dwarf, but it will have to be a bit later. I'm actually at work now. Shhhh. But I will try to remember some of the hilarious things he said. I truly adore this man now.

I was finally able to write down some of what I remembered from the RD panel on Sunday. It's pretty much all a blur ( ... )

Out of all the stars there, Avery Brooks was the one who made my inner fan girl go nuts!

Yeah, he was at Comic Con, too, and when I passed by his table, I was all, OMG SISKO!!!! (on the inside, of course. *g*)

It's been really nice hearing about the great time everyone's had at Dragon Con & in my hometown. *g*

It's my adopted hometown now, but I love living in Atlanta. Are you still here?

SHORTS! Ohh my. I bet the opportunities for those to get trotted out in Newport don't last for more than about five seconds around the Midsummer solstice. So what were his legs like? Lovely and snowy-white?

I'm really chuffed that you had such a good time, too!

LOL! Yes, lilly white legs. I only saw them from a distance, but very nice. I will attempt to get a still from the one second video I took. I'm a technilogical idiot.

I'm still squeeing inside about getting to go. Going back to real life has sucked!

I was at the Walk of Fame too and saw many of those people. And like an idiot, did I think to take stealth photos of them? Noooo... (ok I did take one or two but still...)

Wow you were so lucky to see both GDL and JM just walking through hotels! I bet GDL was exhausted rather than bored.

This was my first dragon*con too, and it was so GREAT!!!

GDL had a surprisingly bland/neutral expression on his face. Maybe he was melting. I'm sure the heat in Atlanta was quite a shock to his Welsh system!
