It's very easy to quit (I know as an acquaintance of mine just tendered her resignation after three weeks in her first teaching assignment). I don't think I could stomach it if someone else I know threw in the towel.

Are beatings against your curriculum guidelines? I could send you a paddle in the mail.

I'm thinking maybe I'll just have to sedate them all. Is that wrong?

So my cut-in-half class is going better, although the half that got moved is making the experienced teacher really want to quit, and I'm feeling guilty about that. I'll keep going. But God, I'd never want to do the first month EVER AGAIN.
