♥ I'm pleased it's still working for you.

JJ is so different from any of the others that on the one hand it's really refreshing to do, but on the other very difficult because his mind works completely differently from how mine does, and any of the other characters as well. And you have Effy, who's not very emotive at the best of times, but it's all very small facial twitches and glances when it happens, and JJ, who doesn't acknowledge them for what they are, and takes it very literally. So it's a challenge to make that fit together, and the fact that you can pick out bits where you feel it does work makes me very happy indeed :)

JJ's relationship with his mum/home life in general is pretty important I think... no further comment.
