Thank you, it's really lovely to hear that you were moved by it, cause that was the aim with all the little stories, so to hear it worked is excellent!
Oh, thank you! I didn't want a hollywood ending, but I didn't want it to be an unhappy one either... so this is where it went! I want moar Katie/Tony. This is my constant state of being.
Yeah, it feels like so long ago that I had the idea, and sat down to write it, and I kept thinking someone was gonna nip in there first!
Please tell the Fox to stop being so good at leaving comments, as I feel inadequate in comparison.
You know my feelings on this piece of excellence, but just to recap, I think you own the crown of best Cook writer in fandom, your Panda is a tragicomedy delight, FIERCE/ANGRY/SAD!KATIE OWNS MY SOUL, and yes, it is definitely a wake.
Something I did not really discuss is the aplomb with which you handle Katie/Tony. It isn't exactly a ship I regularly support, mainly because I have a terrible imagination and usually require visual evidence before it makes sense to me. But here they're perfect, forcing me to assume Katie carts around a small footstool in order to kiss him.
Mate, be proud. This is outstanding. You're a class act.
I feel inadequate at most things in life compared to the Fox, not least the art of comment leaving. That said, your comment was certainly not inadequate.
It is definitely a wake, agreed (and much thanks for that again, cause that could have been embarrassing...!). The rest of those thing you said, is like, wow, that's some serious compliments and way above what I think I deserve, but if you're gonna say them then I'll take them ;) But honestly, thank you for all of those!
This: It isn't exactly a ship I regularly support sounds like a challenge to me. Do not worry, I will be working on changing your mind and soon you will realise the error of your ways. Carrying around a footstool would be a pleasure if the end result was getting to kiss Tony, in my humble opinion of course (not that I'd need one though).
Thank you, not only for your comments pre-posting, but these ones as well. You, also, are a class act.
So I think I’ve finally managed to calm down enough to leave you a comment that’s not all hyperventilating/flailing/caps-locking...
OMG!
...okay, not quite calm enough just yet. But here we go. This story took my breath away. Literally. I forgot to breathe somewhere around the point where JJ showed up, and even if I had remembered to it would have been damn near impossible because of the huge lump in my throat. Reading this hurt in the best way possible. I think my heart broke a little for each and every one of them along the way, and that is something not even the writers of the show has managed in two years
( ... )
Oh God, mate, please remember to breathe in the future! I do not want to be responsible for your untimely death! For the emotion to come through to you strongly enough to feel it is really amazing, and I'm so glad that it did. I wanted it to, but as a writer I think it's always hard to judge that in your own stuff.
You will be aware of how I feel about Cook, I'm sure, so I won't go on about it, but yes to all :) And ditto for Cook and Naomi friendship ;)
I loved writing that Cook and Panda scene and I really wish there was more of them together, because they could have had a great friendship had all the stupid plot progression stuff not happened in S3 :(
I love Katie/Tony as much (more?!) than I do Cook and Naomi friendship, so yeah. It was going in!
Thank you so much for leaving a lovely comment filled with compliments! I'm really chuffed that you enjoyed reading this, it's been a bit of a labour of love for me, so I'm glad that others like it too! ♥
