Today's theme was pears. I found a lady on Craigslist who was selling two bags of pears for $4 each. She had picked them up off the ground while cleaning up a neighbor's yard. I was a bit skeptical of the "off the ground" part, but thought for $4 I would check them out ( Read more... )

I haven't tried any preserves yet... I've never EATEN them, so I haven't been tempted to make any. This makes me want to try, though. Perhaps I'll get more pears and do some up!

Pears are my very favorite. You are the only Bee I like though. It's hard to be here at camp without you.
