You know when you just don't seem to fit in? You just can't, it's not right, it doesn't come naturally. That is me in every social situation. I don't match any scene, none. Or perhaps you fit in a little with every crowd... You may say, yeah, but I just want to fit in with one group a lot. Fair enough, but still... lots of people have trouble even trying to talk to any people... if you feel awkward in social situations, don't worry, b/c your social skills are quite excellent. You have the ability to get along with everyone and have a good time no matter who you're with... even if it's not exactly how you want it. If I'm not with people I feel really comfortable with, I'm awkward... you may feel awkward, but you're a smooth operator.

Jeff you thrive on akward situations because you make them tolerable!!!
I i cannot believe that it will be horrible for you in Portland, and trust me that everything at home will be alright. Just go to Portland and love the life your living.
