*V* Totally IC and brilliant title+plot. But Hijikata seems a little too nice to Gintoki? I always thought that Hijikata reserved the little niceness he still has for Okita and Kondou only... ~^^~

Yeah, I thought that too especially at the end of the fic. The reason I gave for him to treat Gintoki to buffet was that Gintoki was the one who caught the criminals, otherwise him and Yamazaki wouldn't have known. But then him fetching plates for them was prob. not very Hijikata-ish. The ending really threw me for a loop, I didn't know what to do with it after >_> I'm just glad it was still entertaining enough! (I agree, I think Kondou and Okita are the only ones who can reign him in ^_^)

Gah! Thanks for friending an the compliments ^_^ This is basically turned into a fanfic/ fan-everything journal. I'm sooo slow at writing though, I get bursts, and then I stop, an then bursts again. I'm trying really hard working on the thid part of this series of ficlets >_> we'll see how it goes XD

this reads like a gintama manga. seriously. even the title sounds like something the author would have thought of. and the million other plot detours are what makes this fanfic (and incidentally, the manga and show itself) funny and great!

i also liked the prior fic, the one with the okama. hilarious.

how do you make the dialogues sound so much like the canon? do you read/watch gintama before you start writing?

Yeah, I tried to immerse myself in Gintama lingo before starting to write...the title of this fica actaully took me a long time to come up with, lol.

I'm glad the plot detours made this fic read-worthy! I'm totally obsessed with this manga and it makes me happy to hear I got the voices straight, I guess Gintama logic just resonates with me ^__^
