Hi, I'm here to suggest some ideas. No pressure, feel free to NOT choose any of them! (or twist them in the way that suits you better)

1. Squalo and Yamamoto are brothers (either blood-related or not) and raised in a Mafia household.
2. Squalo and Yamamoto, New York, 1940s. Or Meiji Japan.
3. Squalo is Yamamoto's imaginary friend.
4. Squalo and Yamamoto in the post-apocalyptic world.

Um, I feel a bit intrusive commenting on this but...

Have you ever thought of a music or high fashion backdrop? (Which sounds a bit cliched right now but...) For example, they are models, designers, musicians (rock stars, boy band members, part of an orchestra), stage crew, etc.

Or one of them can be a publisher/author. Or instead of being swordsmen, they do more hand/feet fighting.

Just some ideas... The stories are really interesting and your take on each of the situations is quite creative. Though, #8 really left me in an anticipatory mood. What happens next? Gah, so curious!

Hmm, it would be interesting to do a musical one...I'll definitely think about it. I've put some pretty cliche things up there, lol, like vampires, but I think it's how it's written is what makes it cliche.

Feel free to take them. It's completely fine if you don't take them. xD

1)Squalo is Yamamoto's senpai in Kendo club.
2) Squalo is a pirate captain who kidnaps Yamamoto the daimyo's son for ransom. OR anything that set in pirate universe
3) Yamamoto is Squalo's sidekick (think about Peter Pan and Tinkerbell) =p
4) both Yamamoto and Squalo is part of a band (with other KHR characters filling in the other band members' slot)
5) set in tokugawa era. Both Squalo and Yamamoto fights for the opposing factions.
6) heian era setting
