I just finished composing myself after watching Dancer in the Dark. I was in a ball on the couch crying for a good 10 mins after it end... Oh and I was cying probably a good 25 mins before it ended

I love how she maintains so much innocence... I think that is an important aspect of why the film is so beautiful, she never shows anger, and she even refuses to tell the secret of the man who ruined her life...
On the positive, she always manages to find music in the world, right up to the end of the film, which is kind of like her winning out over the awful, awful circumstances.
