Understanding Tears

It's days like this I think I understand Erzulie Freda a little better - anything less than perfection makes me want to cry.

it isn't the less than perfection, its the fact that the perfection I seek is impossible to achieve.

Yeah, I get that too sometimes.

In this case it's not a goal I was trying to reach, so much as an outside something that I had faith was better than it is. What it is is still good, but less perfect, and it being less than perfect made me want to cry.

Now that I think of it, the previous round I've had with that kind of issue made me angry and cynical instead.

We don't deal so well with disappointment, eh?

Lol, I guess not...its just so hard, like when I know a certain orchid should have this mottled almost leopard-like appearance...so i wait for it, and it blooms and the spots are pale, or wrong, or not right. I know its still gorgeous, but I also know what's possible...and what's possible is what I expected and seems so much better.
*sigh*

I find I can generally accept nature as it is. It's human behavior and the way time passes relative to events that usually catch me up short.
