Car is presumably for the whole car, not per person in the car. But how do they get the plane number? I assume it is not per plane. Is it for one person, assuming a full plane? Per person, assuming a plane with the industry average # of seats full? Does it count the differences in efficiency in flights of different distances? Does it just average all types of planes? A new A320 is not the same as a reconditioned 737. If it's per person, 2 of us flying to London comes out to 4x the CO2 of driving, in a new Skoda Fabia with the smallest engine. But we don't have a car and don't have 16 hours.
