I feel the same way about LJ vs Tumblr. I don't have a Tumblr account for that reason- I tried, but meh. I like the SOCIAL aspect of social media. Otherwise, I might as well be reading a magazine.

I have one and I like it for just sharing pics and stuff. But it's not much useful beyond that.

Yeah, seriously. This last week there were some interesting posts about Boardwalk Empire on Tumblr and two of those writers were quoting each other's entire posts in order to have a back and forth. I would have loved to share thoughts concerning both of their takes on the show, but how the hell to even do it... quote one and then the other. THe whole thing is just ridiculously awkward so of course i didn't even bother.
