The teaser was amazing. Besides all the lovely interaction between Clark and Lana, we also got to see just how gigantic the Fortress of Solitude is. And yes, it was a lot all at once, but it worked because that's the way this whole episode was.

Souders and Peterson handled the time travel well. They made everything fresh the second time around; it was fun noticing the similarities and differences.

The funeral scene was beautifully done. I especially love how they were able to incorporate every single cast member.

Everything about this episode, except the plot, was exceptional. The cast stepped up. Tom was required to do something he had never done as Clark before, and he blew me away. Kristin was breathtakingly subtle. Heck, I even liked Erica. The song choices were beautiful (no pun intended) and devastatingly appropriate. Greg Beeman always does a lovely job directing.

This is about so much more than my personal dream. This is about the fans being cheated. This episode, albeit terrific, was a fraud.

Jonathan was a wonderful character, and John is mega talented. I'm not trying to lessen that loss. However, if they were really going to make a huge impact with this episode, Jonathan's death wouldn't have been the only major event.

The fans are disappointed. Disgusted, even. I've seen the message boards. And I don't see how the producers can come back from this. They've let us down, plain and simple.
