6 days until my contract's over.
7 days until I'm back in Louisville.
9 days until Classy Wine Outing.
17 days until the beach.
24 days until I'm back in BG.
26 days until school starts.
I just have to keep on keeping on. If I get through the next week, it's all downhill from there.

So, I haven't posted much this summer, because I've been RIDICULOUSLY busy. I'm working as a teaching artist at a children's theatre, and don't remember the last time I left the house after 8 in the morning or returned before 6 at night (6:30, 7, or later is more typical), but...I'm loving it. We're putting up a 30-page version of Ella Enchanted this week with 18 girls and 2 boys between the ages of 10 and 14. Our kids are fantastic, and I'm the most excited!

At the children's theatre company where I work, we have a programme that lets high school students help out with the classes we teach; they're called apprentices, and they help with administrative stuff, taking the kids to the bathroom, things like that. It's a chance for them to get service hours and learn to think critically about the theatre. ( Read more... ) -
Damn It, Scott!
Just got grades in for the semester. I got Bs in Acting III and Directing II, which are my first Bs in my major. This semester dropped my GPA from a 3.87 to a 3.83, which isn't catastrophic, but IS annoying; I want to keep above a 3.8 so I can graduate summa cum laude. (And, well, I was proud of having a 4.0 in my major; now I have a 3.88.)

The BBF is graduating Saturday. I'm a mess about it, and will be a worse one as the day draws near. We've already had our last departmental event together, went to our last really awkward party, had our last lunch in the crappy cafeteria, had our last inappropriate conversation in the library. I think you know you really love someone when you move from the point in the relationship (of any flavour, not capital-R) where you think "How could anyone not like you?!" to the poinrt where you think "Okay, I know exactly why and how people dislike you, can describe why in vivid detail...and those are some of my favourite parts."
